To Mrs. S.G. Prime, Upper Jay

Sister Fannie,
Richard home Wednesday.  His words fail to describe
what a delightful trip he had.  Come down an I will tell
all about it. There is an L.T.L. Picnic down by the Forge
tomorrow for the children. Last night was our W.C.T.U.
meeting.  I   must tell you about our state meeting in
Buffalo.  When are you coming down?
Lovingly,

Florence   (nee  Sweeney)
The Town of Jay, named after Governor John Jay, was originally part of the Town of Willsborough
from which it was separated on January 16, 1798.
Jay was formerly known as Mallory's Bush after early
settlers,
Nathaniel Mallory and his brother, William, who arrived in the area about 1796.
