                                                DUPEE - RABIDEAU                                     05/11

I was at the library today and bought the two RABIDEAU obituary connection books.  As you
know, I have been stuck on the
DUPEE line but in RABIDEAU'S book, the sister of my g-g-
grandmother, Emma
DUPEE, is listed under “Angeline DUPUIS.” (She is the wife of Joseph
IVES listed in Emma’s obituary).  I know this is the correct person as I have Angeline’s death
certificate and the death dates match (but the death certificate has a birth date of 19 Apr 1880 while
the
RABIDEAU book gives her birth date as 12 Apr 1881.)  Anyhow, Angeline’s parents are listed
as Jacob and Marie
PATENAUDE.  I have never heard of these names before.  Do you know
where
RABIDEAU got his information?  I suppose it’s possible that the Louis and Louise
DUPEE listed on many records for Emma is wrong but on her death certificate, Angeline’s mother
is listed as Louise
LAREAU and I subsequently did find her in the 1892 NY State Census in
Champlain.  What are your thoughts on this?

                           BOMBARD - LABOMBARD - LAVALLEY                08/11

I’m looking for a death date and an obituary for Howard Bombard.  He was born March 5, 1896, in
Vergennes, VT.  His parents were Peter
Labombard and Almira Danyow Lavalley (2nd
marriage).  He was married to Mattie
Taylor on June 5, 1920, at St. John the Baptist in Keeseville.
Mattie remarried (to
Muncil) after he died, and her obituary states that Howard died in 1942.  His
name could be listed as either
Bombard or Labombard.
I received some info from Bev Farrington on the Bombard forum of Genforum indicating that there
is a Howard F.
Bombard buried in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Keeseville (plot A1).  His
death date is listed as June 14, 1943, so I don’t know if this is the same person or not.  Could
someone check the burial records for more info?
I’ve also checked the website for the Northern New York historical newspapers.  There was
information on Howard and other family members in various newspaper issues, but nothing
regarding his death.  There was a legal notice indicating a foreclosure on their house in 1939, so
perhaps the family moved away for a time.
