The importance of the work of the NNYA-CGS in Clinton County and northern New York has always been significant. Most recently, with the advent of genealogical research for medical reasons, the interest has increased.
Much can be accomplished through the thoughtful and generous contributions of members and friends.
In addition to gifts of money, support for our programs can take many other forms. Because we are a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit society, donations of genealogical material, equipment and services will receive a certification from the Society, if requested, and can used as tax deductions.
You may with to qualify your donation by giving to a certain project or program or give to the general fund for the overall financial health of the society. Recently we received a donation of a filmstrip reader/printer when an office digitized.
Giving is unique to each individual. Every donor demonstrates his or her belief in the society with gifts of time, abilities, and money. Often our growth and survival are predicated on the generosity of our supporters. Gifts to the NNYA-CGS benefit both the donor, the society and the people who use our services.
Your gift may be recognized by labels in donated books and recognition on our website and in Lifelines, our bi-yearly journal. Often benefactors wish to remain anonymous and the donation is between the individual and the board.
